Vocals, percussion Date of Birth: My father remembers it as the day the Dodgers won the World Series Home Town: McKinleyville, California – located in the heart of beautiful Humboldt County Day Job: Information Systems Analyst Musical
Background: I had the good fortune to grow up in a musical family. As
a result, I began performing at a very early age. Over the years, I’ve
tried my hand at piano, flute, tenor sax, harmonica, and guitar (my first
one was purchased with Blue Chip stamps). Some of my experience includes
participating in church choirs and a couple of bands, as well as
performing for charity fund-raisers, weddings, community theater, and
variety show productions. I think my most interesting “gig” was when I
spent about 1-1/2 years as the entertainer for Manora Thai, a
sit-on-the-floor and sip wine hippie-type restaurant in Eureka, where in
between sets I would dazzle the crowd by belly dancing – sometimes with
a snake…still can’t believe I did that…Anyway, my costume is long
gone – so is the snake. I’ve since hooked up with these 6 talented
young men and now I’m "one of the boys" (except I don’t
carry stuff). My musical influences are my mother and my grandmother.
Watching my mom perform on stage is my most cherished musical memory. |
