This is Azuar's fourth year in the top three - no other band shares this distinction. Thank you very much to all our friends and fans! 19 Aug 2004 - Azuar is proud to announce it's latest audio system upgrade. The band purchased a brand new, 32-channel Yamaha MG32/14FX mixing board to replace its aging Mackie 16-channel board. With the new mixer, the group hopes to further enhance the quality and consistency of sound at its live performances. Additional audio channels provide room for expansion - more instruments for Serafin :) - and/or allow for greater control (Craig is grinning) over how individual sounds blend into the audio mix.

25 Jan 2003 - Azuar debuted on the "small" screen Friday, 24 January, on The Original Friday Night Live show. The band delighted the live audience for an hour with a variety of songs. The television show will be repeated many times on Roseville Cable TV Channel 8.

1 Jan 2003 - Happy New Year! Azuar had a great -- long (four sets, spanning two years :)) -- gig last night at the Sunset Whitney Country Club in Rocklin. Thanks to Richard Mason of Snafu and Maybe Tuesday for filling in on bass guitar.

25 Feb 2001 - The band spent a full workday yesterday, at Promedia Sound Studios in Shingle Springs, laying tracks down for its first "official" demo CD. Mix-down should be done tonight. The band is quite happy with this relatively quick project (just a demo, you know; not an album) which is looking to sound quite a bit "better than okay". Thanks to Keith Cummings for his fine engineering work, not to mention his hospitality.

19 Feb 2001 - Azuar regrets to announce the departure of one of its founding members, Grandon Gray.

10 Feb 2001 - Azuar played at Borders' cafe in Folsom.

28 Oct 2000 - Cafe of Life Grand Opening performance is cancelled due to wet and windy weather.

27 Oct 2000 - Azuar played to a cozy crowd at Borders' cafe during this Folsom bookstore's Grand Opening. The gig went very smoothly, even before considering the many new songs in the group's repertoire, as well as new personnel on the sound board, Mike Brady and Craig Rice. See photo here.

15 Aug 2000. On Friday the 11th, Azuar played to a large crowd at Folsom City Park. The concert was part of the Folsom Chamber of Commerce Picnic in the Park concert series. See photos here.

4 Aug 2000. Azuar tonight performed at a Pink Flamingo party at Prairie Oaks. One-time founding member Allan Dahlquist seamlessly filled in on bass for vacationing Al Arrivas.

31 Jul 2000. Press Release: Local Band Azuar to Appear at Folsom "Picnic in the Park"

17 Jul 2000. Azuar today acquired its own little piece of the Internet universe with the creation of www.azuar.com. The new web address replaces the harder-to-remember music.garcias.org URL. Note that some related e-mail addresses have correspondingly changed (see Contact page).

5 Jul 2000. Azuar made its debut performance at the Cresleigh at Natoma Station Fourth of July celebration yesterday. See photos here.

30 Jun 2000. Azuar welcomes "sound guy" David Glass to the group. David brings to the band, not only his experience in setting up sound equipment and mixing performances, but also his valuable insight on performance direction.

15 April 2000. Tax Day. Azuar is born. The band convened at its first rehearsal session at the Lighthouse Nazarene church in Folsom.
