Bass guitar, electric guitar, vocals Date of Birth: 18 October 1954 Home Town: Born in Fort Riley, Kansas (don't really have a hometown, father in U.S.A.F. - constantly moving - great for keeping one-step ahead of the law). But, if I were to pick a town it would be Pittsburg, California - both sides of family moved there in early 60's. Day Job: Chef, bar-keep and dishwasher... self-employed as computer consultant for contractors since 1989 as A-Squared Systems Musical
Background: Eldest of 9 children (that's a story in itself). Was
influenced by my Uncle Val on the guitar at the age of 14. Grew up
listening to music from the 50's & 60's and came into my own in the
late 60's. Sang in a church choir singing popular music (great times and
even made an album). In high school my Dad got orders for Okinawa, Japan
(1970-1972) There I encountered life (sex, drugs and rock-n-roll) and
joined my first band (Reflections). Moved back to the United States
(1973), hooked up with some old friends and Uncle Val and formed another
band (I don't know if we had a name ... it's a blur, not my Uncle Val, but
my lifestyle). Sorta wandered around for awhile ... met a really good
woman (1977 my wife Peggy and my life made a complete change). To make a
long story short, moved up to Folsom in the summer of 1995. Joined the
church choir in 1998 when I met a man by the name of Michael Reidinger.
Which brings us to today ... now I have really good reasons to spend money
on equipment. I love ALL MUSIC ... there's something in every song that I
appreciate. But, if I were to name artists, that would be: Kenny Rankin,
Carlos Santana, James Taylor and the group America. But my biggest
influence is my Uncle Val ... bossa nova, jazz, Latin rhythms and having
fun. |
